The technician of Bayern Munich, Julian Nagelmannhas received some 450 death threats via Instagram after the surprise elimination at the hands of the Villarreal in the quarterfinals of the Champions League. Some threats were even directed at his mother, which Nagelsmann believes is going too far.
Nagelsmann regularly receives these kinds of messages. “After every match, regardless of whether we win or lose,” the coach said. But he says he doesn’t care much: “I really don’t care what they write, although I’ll never understand it.” Nagelsmann said the team is now fully focused on the Bundesliga, with Sunday’s game in Arminia Bielefeld. “We have a clear objective in mind: to win our next two games and thus secure the title.”
