The presidential candidate of Brazil Lula da Silva he ignited the election scene this Saturday and one day before the ballot he harshly criticized his opponent and current president, Jair Bolsonaro: “He does not have the psychic conditions to govern”he pointed.

He did so during a brief press conference in Sao Paulo, where he closed his electoral campaign and accused the current head of state of “lying shamelessly”.

“I can’t conceive of how someone contests the elections by lying blatantly during the campaign. He has no limits in telling lies, in challenging the institutions”, sacked the progressive leader, escorted by former Uruguayan president José Mujica.

Furthermore, surrounded by thousands of militants and followers, the Brazilian has assured that Bolsonaro is “an affiliate of former US President Donald Trump”.

Following the same critical line, Da Silva accused Bolsonaro of “isolating” the country from the rest of the world and compared his international ties with those of Cuba.

“This country has fewer international relations than Cubawhich has a blockade, “he said, referring to the US embargo on the Caribbean island.

And he still insisted on the “lies” of the current president: “At 77 I had never seen a factory to produce lies like that of Bolsonaro”, he reiterated.

His promises if he wins the election this Sunday

In this context, Lula has promised that if he wins on Sunday, Brazil will return “to normal”.

“It seems to me that the Brazilian people are tired and I believe this government will change,” he said he admitted he was confident of winning the election.

“I hope he makes the switch and that on January 1 he says ‘hello’ and I enter the Presidency,” he summed up.

Finally he concluded: “Brazil needs to be rebuilt by a person who has credibility and guarantees legal, political and social stability”.

If the PT leader wins, he would consecrate himself as the first head of state to return for the third time to the government building.
