Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean recorded a decrease of nine COVID-19-related hospitals. Currently, 89 people are in hospital after contracting the virus compared to 98 on Wednesday.
According to the latest report from the National Institute of Public Health of Quebec (
INSPQ), released on Thursday, the region has recorded four more deaths in the past 24 hours, out of a total of 409 since the pandemic began more than two years ago.In terms of active COVID-19 cases, the Integrated University Health and Social Services Center (
CIUSSS) of Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean reported 1166.For provincial level data, the
INSPQ reports 24 more hospitalizations than the day before and 38 additional deaths.The interim national director of public health, Dr. Luc Boileau, will provide an update on the evolution of the current situation of COVID-19 in Quebec at a press conference scheduled for 1 p.m.
