In his new podcast Be Roger, Actress and director Marika Lhoumeau is interested in Alzheimer’s disease in an intimate and personal way. He documented a three -week stay in a facility for people with neurodegenerative diseases.

This new project is in line with his previous podcast Be Margotwhere she recounted how her father Roger, who has Alzheimer’s, suddenly called her Margot.

Therefore, Marika Lhoumeau continued this family’s search by immersing herself in the Maison Carpe Diem, in Trois-Rivières, a place that tries to recreate the way people with dementia are managed.

Throughout the podcast, the actress reflects on the living conditions that society offers to people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, guided by a specific question: can we do better?.

The podcast was produced by Babel Films and broadcast on the Télé-Québec website.

Marika Lhoumeau has been an actress for over twenty years. He has notably acted in plays May contain traces of ego at The Threepenny Opera. On the small and big screen, he appeared in the film God bless America and the series District 31.
