Roe v. Wade: Washington State went to the barricades

Washington State wants to be a haven for anyone who wants an abortion. The state governor made the statement in light of a leaked U.S. Supreme Court document. This document suggests that Roe v. Wade could be overruled and cause screams all over the area on both sides of the border.

The State of Washington is also examining its options to protect people who come from outside the State and want to go there for abortion in case there is an official reversal of Roe c. Wade. The latter protects the right to abortion for 50 years in the United States.

We cannot deny that we are in a moment of crisis, he says though. He fears that the return of Roe v. Wade has a greater impact on vulnerable populations such as people of race or low income.
