Maria Rambeau first appeared in the MCU as the best friend of Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) on Earth during the 1990s. The two were military pilots, always flying side by side on their missions before the protagonist gained super powers, lost her memory and left the planet to protect space.

A few years have passed and the series “WandaVision” has confirmed that the version we know of Maria, who belongs to Earth 616, where most of Marvel’s productions are located, died after founding SWORD (SWORD) in the period when half of the creatures of the universe disappeared with the snap of the Thanos. In addition, Lashana’s character has yet another important connection to the history of Scarlet Witch.

In the series focused on Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Eyesight (Paul Bettany), we review Monica Rambeau (teyonah parris), the daughter of Maria. The character appears in the older plot, already following in her mother’s footsteps as a member of SWORD, and faces the heroine to help free the residents of Westview from HEX.

At the end of the episodes, Monica gains superpowers and is summoned by the Skrulls for a mission into space. Apparently, the character will appear in “The Marvels”, the second film about Captain Marvel.
