“Legendary”, a contest inspired by the ballroom culture of the 1980s, has a new season and, in the new episodes, which arrive on HBO Max starting this Thursday (19), anita is one of the special guests. First of all, if you don’t know “Legendary”, it’s high time you got to know it. In the contest, groups, called “casas”, compete for a cash prize and the title of champion through dance challenges inspired by the voguinga modality created in dances attended by those rejected by society, such as the LGBTQIA+, black and Latin American communities.

In the third season, like the previous ones, ten houses enter the dispute. Among them is the legendary House of LaBeija, which currently has Act, a former contestant on “RuPaul’s Drag Race”, as one of the members. The house is one of the highlights of the documentary “Paris Is Burning”, which addresses ballroom culture and is a reference in the LGBTQIA+ community.

But going back to anita: with a career on the rise outside Brazil, the singer is the guest of the third episode of the new year of “Legendary”, which is now available on HBO Max. She joins the actress Jameela Jamilto the stylist of the stars Law Roachto the legend of the ballroom Leiomy Maldonado and the actress and singer Keke Palmerwhich replaces Megan Thee Stallion as a judge in the new season.
