answers to questions

Many questions that remained pending resolution at the end of the third season, once the first episode began, have an answer.

Where did Eleven, Joyce and their children Jonathan and Will move?

How about the power of Eleven, which is lost, and with telekinesis, moving objects with his mind, causing them to explode, or seeing and hearing (in The Void) people who may be of similar size ?

Jim Hopper, the police chief, is he dead or not?

And how has things been in Hawkins, the small town where the story took place, since Season 3 ended, to paraphrase the title of the series, with something very strange?

Did not many people die, and is it not strange that all were due to fire, as they reasoned?

The questions we will reveal in this commentary, be warned, will not contain major spoilers, but preview what will be seen in the first two episodes, directed by brothers Matt and Ross Duffer, the creators of series.

This is how it starts

But how will this fourth season begin? Better than the third, sure. And until the second.

For memory shorts, or not so much, because the third, which we all agree, is the weakest of all, it premiered on July 4, 2019 and, through the Covid pandemic and script rewriting, had to we wait nearly three years to find out if Hopper died after the battle at Starcourt, or if he was alive, but a prisoner in Russia.

If the end of Season 3 It leaves us with a bitter taste, because of the explosion caused by Joyce (Winona Ryder), in which Hopper is certain to die, we are also worried about what will happen to Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), who is gone the power.

Its first two chapters Season 4 They set things up from scratch. At some point, the actions go farther than during the first season, where little Eleven, Dad (the doctor played by Matthew Modine, and who died – or not? -) takes one captive child as a test. And something will happen.

Something awful.

Let’s jump into the current season, which is 1986. Eleven is with Joyce, Will and Jonathan in a small town in California, far from Hawkins, where his fiancé Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and the other long -suffering who inhabitants. But Eleven is not doing well in her new home, mainly at school, where she is being bullied, especially by a classmate from her new school (Angela). He wanted to defend himself, and call on his former power.

But, we have already said, they are gone.

When Mike arrives on spring break to visit him, Eleven will hide his reality, he will tell him that he made friends, but none of that is true, and one fact will put everything going on there, in California, in black and white.

But what’s happening to Hawkins is really scary. And there is a new villain … To call him something.

And, frankly, the Duffer brothers tried to make the plot more attractive than seen in Season 3.

The title of Episode 1 talks about a club, made up of Max, Dustin and Lucas, and the leader is Eddie (another new character and older than them), who also sells drugs to other students. The club consists of aggregation to play Dungeons and Dragons (known in Latin America as Dungeons and Dragons): each character has a specific role, with tremendous luck. The quartet of friends had been playing it since the first season (they were in elementary school), they continued in the second until they stopped playing it in the third.

And now they’re taking it back, but because Luke chose to play a certain basketball game at school, he can’t participate in a club game.

How well he did.

Who are the new characters

Among the new characters in the first Episode is Chrissy, a cheerleader who is the girlfriend of the basketball team leader, and at first you can tell there is something wrong with her head. Or in your environment. Because he sees things that no one else sees.

We have answered almost every question. Hooper’s (David Harbor), well, if you’re a fan, you saw him in the teaser aired on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2020, so yes, he’s alive, but a bit battered after being interrogated by the Russians. And Joyce received a doll from Russia, with some sort of ransom demand from Hopper, so she went to Murray.

The soundtrack is still one of the high points of strange thingswith an appropriate selection of music themes and weather details, from renting a VCR at the video store where Steve and Robin work, to cans of Mountain Dew that the boys at the club drink Dungeons and Dragons.

Sorry, fans, that in a few hours you will be able to marathon the 7 episodes, but you know they are longer than usual. and better than Season 3.
