Argentine coach Jorge Sampaoli made the decision to leave Olympique de Marseille, disappointed by the lack of reinforcements during the start of the (European) summer market, several French media indicated this Friday.
Sampaoli, who still have a one-year contract, are planning to hold a meeting today with the club’s president, Spaniard Pablo Longoria, reported the newspaper L’Equipe, which revealed the news, later confirmed by radio RMC Sports. .
The Argentine, who arrived in Marseille in February 2021, had asked the management that the squad is reinforced with experienced players to play with guarantees the next edition of the Champions League, for which OM qualified “in extremis” after finishing second in the French national championship.

However, the only reinforcement recruited in this market is young central defender Isaak Touré, a promising 19-year-old central defender 2.04 meters tall from Le Havre in the French second division.
Sampaoli, 62, has coached numerous teams in South America, including Spanish Sevilla, as well as the Chilean and Argentine national teams.
