The RCMP dismantled a secret laboratory in Saint-Jérôme

Police officers from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are currently dismantling a clandestine laboratory used for cocaine extraction purposes, in a commercial area located at 312, rue de la Poterie, in Saint- Jerome.

Concurrent with the police operation, another search was conducted on the Laurentians, but this time at a residence located in Blainville.

The federal police investigation began in the fall of 2021.

So far, the work of investigators has led to the arrest of an individual on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. A case may be filed against him.

The RCMP wants to assure the public that the facilities targeted by the searches do not pose a risk to the public.

Expert agents carry out laboratory removal in a safe manner.

Investigators do not rule out the possibility of further search.
