Adrián Cosentino has left the National Securities Commission and his deputy sounds like a replacement

Adrián Cosentino was the head of the National Securities Commission.

Adriano Cosentino has resigned from the position of head of the National Commission for Valor and thus paved the way for the installation of a Silvina Batakis official.

The now resigning official had come to the body responsible for regulation, supervision, promotion and development of the capital market at the hands of Alberto Fernández.

Cosentino was previously Secretary of Finance during the management of Hernan Lorenzino and Amado Boudou, between 2011 and 2016. In macrism he had remain in public office as an advisor to the Cabinet of the Ministry of the Treasury and Finance.

There were still no definitions on his replacement in office. Cosentino was one of the many officials who had resigned due to Martín Guzmán’s departure from the cabinet.

Cosentino’s replacement would be Sebastián Negri. He holds a PhD in Social Sciences from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (Flacso), a Masters in International Relations with a specialization in International Economics from the Faculty of Law of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and a lawyer from the University of La Plata (UNLP). He was advisor to the Bicameral Commission for the Reform, Updating and Unification of the Civil and Commercial Codes, he worked on the Council of the Judiciary, in the National Senate and in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Cult.
