For the second consecutive year there will be Argentina flourishes theatrical, a festival that until September 30 will offer more than 100 free shows in various rooms and spaces in the city of Buenos Aires.

It is organized by the local Ministry of Culture, through the Secretariat for Culture Management, and the National Theater Institute (INT).

The CABA Provincial Representation of the INT organizes this theatrical movement which it includes 89 groups that will perform 137 shows, in succession, in 65 independent theatersto which will be added activities in 24 schools and alternative spaces in the south of the city.

The shows are scheduled on different days, schedules and reservations are made from theatrical alternative.

Among the works that can be seen until the end of the month there are Butterfly Oil, Wild Bird Catch, Almost Human, Chau Misterix, Blind Date, As if a Train Passed by, Diary of a Madman, The Blacksmith and the Devil, The Guide of the Riachuelo, The Boy, The Visitor, Among Sleepers, Those things that are said and are so strange Y fucking improvisation.

They also participate Son of the countryside, Labyrinth, La fachalfarra, La Falcón, The chained, What the guachas want, The pastry chefs, Witness of the light, Forget the slaughterhouse, What happened all this time ?, Ray of sunshine, Simulacrum, Suyay, We are everything broken, 28 souls on iceamong many others.

The idea of ​​the cycle

The Argentina Florece Teatral cycle aims to cover the largest number of municipalities, municipalities and cities throughout Argentina, with the programming of theatrical performances in every place.

The aim is to carry out functions throughout the national territory in the last quarter of the year. And the City of Buenos Aires is no exception, taking advantage of the huge billboard offered by the independent theater.

The initiative has to do with the urgent need to generate active policies that accompany the process of reopening or resuming theatrical activities, which are still affected by everything that happened with the pandemic and the health emergency.

Theatrical activity has been severely impacted by the closure of the sectors and it is still difficult for the independent sector to recover.

The aim of the festival is to mobilize the theater sector to reactivate it and expand its capacities to the maximum, aiming to add as many spectators as possible. For this reason, many works on the bill recently or on the bill for more than a season, adhere to this movement that has been going on for more than ten days and crosses different areas of the city.

The free festival also intends that a large part of the public that does not regularly attend the theater, for economic reasons, will have the opportunity to see very different pieces, for different ages and tastes, and thus begin to favor the theatrical habit.
