Sophie Brochu’s grandparents owned a general store in Lévis. His father runs an insurance company. Despite this influence from the business world, a young Sophie Brochu went to the Quebec Conservatory of Dramatic Arts as an interpretation. “I loved working with all of these artists. I realized I’m not one. Actress Michèle Sirois recounted their meeting at the school of theatrical interpretation and how Sophie Brochu allowed poor children from the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve district to participate in a play by working closely in its development.
