He Citroen Basalt Vision It is the prototype of the third model of what the French brand calls the C-Cubo project. The first was the new C3, presented in 2022, and the second is the C3 Aircross, which can now be purchased in Argentina through a savings plan.

The Basalt, which will use the same platform as the C3 and C3 Aircross, will compete with the Volkswagen Nivus and the Fiat Fastbackwhose commercial launch in Argentina has been postponed from 2023 (it should be launched this year).

The first images show a vehicle that stands out for its ground clearance, raised bonnet, flared fenders with black moldings and long lowering tailgate (fastback style). The trunk, for its part, has all the features present in the other models.

It features the same light clusters found in the C3 and C3 Aircross models.

In this first example the design of the passenger compartment has not been revealed, although no major changes are expected compared to the other models of the C-Cubo project.

Not even the technical data have been anticipated, but it is very likely that it will incorporate one of the turbo engines used by the Stellantis Group, such as the 1.0 of 120 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque (T200) that equip the C3 Aircross or the 1.3 of 174 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque (T270), coming from, among others, Fiat Toro and Jeep Renegade.
