The meeting took place at the Olivos residence and was also attended by Daniel Scioli, new Minister of Productive Development, Li Zhen, CEO of the Asian company, and Leandro Iraola, president of the Iraola Group, representative of the Corven brand, between the others .
During the meeting, the businessmen communicated to Fernández the plans they have for Argentina. In particular, the installation in the country of a plant for the production of lithium cells and batteries through a joint investment between the local group and the Chinese company.

Production will be destined for batteries applied to mobility, for bicycles, motorcycles, cars, trucks and buses, and will be supplied to various markets in Latin America.
Batteries in Venado Tuerto
The strategic alliance is based on a partnership scheme between the two companies through which Grupo Iraola will build a factory of 5,000 square meters bringing its knowledge into industrial production and Gotion will provide the technology transfer necessary to achieve development in our country
The place chosen for the installation of the production will be the province of Santa Fe, where the Iraola Group has the epicenter of its activities. “The plant will be in Venado Tuerto. We have two plants there, one for shock absorbers and the other for motorcycles. An expansion of approximately 5,000 m2 will be carried out in one of the plants”, they confirmed to Clarione from society.
Although there are still no details on the time it will take for this project, “the idea is to move fast, very fast”. According to the group’s plans, the investment in the first phase will be 12 million dollarsbetween infrastructure and machinery.

Gotion High-Tech, a Chinese-owned company with operations in the United States, Germany, Japan, Singapore and the People’s Republic of China, is a leading developer and manufacturer of lithium batteries for mobility and storage.
The Chinese company has been operating for more than twenty years in the development and production of lithium batteries for electromobility and electrical energy storage for consumption, being a pioneer in the industrialization of lithium iron phosphate batteries.
In recent years, Gotion has managed to meet the standards required by the markets of central economies. Along this path, companies like Volkswagen today plan their electromobility platforms on the Chinese company’s batteries.
After the meeting in the Olivos residence, Minister Scioli explained that “although it has been extracted and exported for years”, only now “have the conditions been created for the industrialization of lithium”, which he considered “a great progress towards future of electromobility that is coming “.
For his part, the CEO of Gotion High-Tech remarked that “this type of visit is very important for us and we want to continue promoting the bilateral relationship”.
