As of September 1 in Paris, two-wheelers with a thermal engine will have to pay for their parking on the street, like cars. A decision made at the end of June, with the details of the prices and affected vehicles.
Less than two weeks after this great novelty for the French capital, the first “paid motorcycle” brands appeared near the dedicated locations, a team from BFM Paris was able to verify.

On the price side, this is the grid that is currently applied to the cars, but with a price divided by two.
For a visitor, €3 per hour will be charged in zone 1 (from district 1 to district 11) for the first two hours. The third hour is €6 (12 euros in total to be parked for three hours), the fourth is €7.50, the fifth and sixth hours are €9 each. This is the maximum authorized duration of parking, with a total cost of €37.50 for staying parked for six hours.
Important detail: Each time can be divided into 15 minutes: if you stay 2 hours and 15 minutes parked in zone 1, this will cost you €7.50: the price of two hours, or €6, plus a quarter of the third time at €6, or €1.50.
From the 12th to the 20th arrondissement (Bois de Vincennes included), prices are a bit lower, with €2 for the first two hours, €4 for the third hour, €5 for the fourth, and €6 for the fifth and sixth. . Or 6 hours, maximum parking duration, for €25.
Parking payment is made directly in the parking meter when you enter its registration, or in dedicated mobile applications (Paybyphone, Parknow or Flowbird).
Electric two-wheelers, just like cars, will not have to pay for parking. But there are no parking albums as for cars, the City Council of Paris specifies, “you must take out a daily ticket in mobile applications (from 1 to 6 days for parking for residents or professionals in authorized areas, a daily parking newspaper outside these areas or visitor parking). “
For Parisian residents, it is possible to request the right to park now by mail or On the city website. Please note that it cannot be combined with an already granted right for a car.
