In December, domestic workers also receive the Christmas bonus

The bonus is calculated more than 50% of the highest remuneration of the year and that it is within the two semesters which culminate in the months of June and December of each year.

For their part, employees who do not have a full year of work must divide your monthly salary by twelve and then multiply by the number of months worked.

In the event that the work is paid to the domestic worker by the hour, it will be necessary to add up the total remuneration of all the months and select the highest one. That salary will be the reference to establish what corresponds to the bonus.

For the payment of the Christmas bonus, there are two different options: or it can be included in the salary for June or December, in which case a maximum of the last labor of the month must be paid -as established by the Law-, or it can be paid separately, in a separate paycheck.

The second installment can be received by employees of private homes between 19 and 23 December 2022.
