A week ago, the government launched a new program, Now 10, to buy mobile phones and reincorporated these devices into Now 12 as well. It has also signed some deals with clothing, sports shoes and medicines, for example, to meet two premise: reactivate consumption and get inflation to finally start to fall. In the meantime too the date on which Now 30 concludes has arrivedwhich expires this Thursday, December 22 as scheduled.

The latter program kicked off on Friday, October 21 across the country. The Secretary of Commerce had then indicated that the plan would last until the end of the year and that it was not the idea to renew it or extend it much longer over time.

Instead, the Government has continued to work on the issue and in recent days has announced the arrival of Now 10, designed exclusively for the purchase of mobile phones, with an interest rate of 48% per annum and which, in principle, will be valid until March 15. .

This Thursday, the government decided to increase $200,000 to $400,000 cap on cell phone purchases of national production corresponding to Plan Ahora 10. It is an update of the program started last week and which seeks to stimulate the purchase of these devices.

This was announced with resolution 148/2022, published this Thursday in the Official Gazette, in which he cited “reasons of expediency, merit and expediency” for “adapting certain aspects which require modification”.

In recent days, the Minister of Economy has also closed agreements with about 25 sports brands such as Nike, Fila and Adidas, which have undertaken to discounts up to 20% on sports shoes during December. Furthermore, the price freeze agreed in September with the clothing sector was renewed. The latter will last until the end of February.

And as far as shopping is concerned, there won’t be a Christmas basket because it’s second the Secretariat directed by Matías Tombolini, everything is condensed in the Fair Prices programme.

How to take advantage of Now 30

The Ahora 30 program is a proposal to purchase, through a plan of 30 fixed monthly installments, televisions with 4K technology equal to or greater than 50′, air conditioners with low consumption technology, washing machines, refrigerators and mobile phones with 4G on the national network, production up to $200,000.

The plan ending this Friday includes freezing the value of some products such as air conditioners.

This program has a nominal annual interest rate of 48% and a financial limit of $200,000 per product. With which it is necessary to have at least double the availability on the credit card in order to make the purchase effective.

As for the annual percentage rate, it is 67.06% e the total financial cost rises to 85.57% per annum, a high percentage, but which in any case remains below the total inflation forecast with which the year will close, and which will be above 90%.

However, if a product costs $120,000 and is paid in 30 days, each installment will be approximately $7,994. That is to say, the product will eventually come out at $239,820. This percentage decreases if, for example, you choose fewer shares.

How to take advantage of Now 10

With Now 10 you can finance mobile phones in up to 10 fixed installments, with an annual rate of 48%. Electronics manufacturers further committed to keep prices fixed for 90 days, that is, until next March 15th.

On this agreement, the government decided this Thursday to raise $400,000 the upper limit for cell phone purchases considered in the program.

This was reflected in resolution 148/2022, published in the Official Gazette, in which it quoted “reasons of expediency, merit and convenience” to “adapt some aspects that require modification”.

In this way, the document bearing the signature of the Secretary of Commerce, Matías Tombolini, modifies point 5.3 of the initial resolution which allowed the purchase of these mobile phones “because the sale price to the public without interest does not exceed the sum of $200,000, setting a maximum coupon price cap of 225,000 dollars with a loan in 10 fixed monthly installments”.

There are 83 confirmed models and prices have a wide range that fits all budgets, from $30,000 to $400,000.

With this 48% interest rate, the real ticket increases by almost 27%. Therefore, for every $100,000 the purchase will be nearly $127,000. So and likewise, the amount available on the credit card must be $127,000 per 100,000.

All these mobile phones are manufactured in factories in Tierra del Fuego. Newsan is responsible for the Philco, Noblex and Motorola brands. Radio Victoria produces Alcatel, ZTE and TCL. While Mirgor and Fueguina Electronics produce the Samsung.
