As a result of the increase in the contributions of private employees and single-tax payers, in October 2022 the number of people with registered jobs in the country as a whole reached 12,936,881the top tier of the Ministry of Labor series based on social security numbers.
In seasonally adjusted terms, the total number of employed persons shows a positive change of 0.3% compared to the previous month (41.6 thousand people more). Compared to the same month of the previous year, registered employment grew by 5.1% (+622.7 thousand male and female workers).
This increase on an annual basis is broken down into the expansion of the private sector (+4.9%, 290.9 thousand people) and, secondly, into the growth of the public sector (+1.6%, 53.9 thousand jobs in more).
Compared to the data of January 2012beginning of the series, the variations of the different categories of inscribed works indicate it: registered private work grew by only 2.5%. Inside public sector the increase was 33%. occupation in particular houses increased by a twenty-one%. In the category self employed there has been a reduction of 4.3%. The monotribute jumped 45% and the social single tax grew up at 231%. Total registered work – which includes all of these categories – grew by 18%.
Returning to the data for October 2022. Work in private homes fell in October compared to the same month of the previous year (-0.7%, 3.5 thousand fewer workers). Finally, self-employment as a whole grew by 10.9% (+281.3 thousand employees) in the interannual comparison.
Self-employment as a whole was driven by the mono-tax categories (+39.6% mono-tax social and +6.7% mono-tax). For its part, the number of taxpayers to the self-employed scheme presented a moderate increase (+1.3%).
Among members, the October increase was driven by employment in private sector companies (+0.3%, 17,171 employees), while the public sector remained almost stable (+1,021), while home working was decreased by 0.4% (1.8 thousand less). female workers, from 471,712 to 469,864) compared to the previous month).
The Labor Report indicates that among private sector employees “the level of employment achieved in October 2022 is 4.3% higher than the value in February 2020 (259.1 thousand more people)”.
On average, private salary in October was $188,293, but half earned less than $144,623.
Self-employment grew compared to the previous month (+0.9%; 25.3 thousand more workers). This expansion is mainly explained by the increase in the number of people who adhere to the monotax (+1.5%, 28.5 thousand workers), which was higher than the decrease in the number of workers included in the social monotax (-0.6% , 3.5 thousand people less). The number of self-employed workers, on the other hand, presented a variation of +0.1%.
The monthly growth in employee employment recorded was verified in 8 of the 14 sectors analysed. Among the lines of business that showed the greatest monthly dynamism, the following should be noted: Construction (+0.9%), Hotels and restaurants (+0.8%), Mines and quarries (+0.7%), Trade and repairs ( +0.5%) and manufacturing industries (+0.3%).
