New record for the blue dollar: it jumped by eight pesos and reached 378 dollars
The blue dollar’s rise remains stable. It climbed eight pesos on Tuesday and closed at $378, a new nominal high for the casual price. On a hot day even for the exchange rate, the Central Bank halted its buying spree and sold $23 million. It’s the first time this year that the monetary authority has come out to sell.
So far in January, the blue has already racked up a 32-peso hike, or an 8% increase, making it the fastest-rising dollar across the entire range of exchange rates in Argentina. Read more here.
