In the midst of the drought that affects most of the productive areas of the country, the Rural society sent a warning to officials through its president, Nicolás Pino. “Do not put more tax burden on producers who are unable to pay it”retained the agricultural leader.

Pino described as a “chaotic situation” that “55% of productive Argentina lives with the shoal” and said that despite this “we see that mayors and governors continue to raise taxes such as real estate, road tolls and guides for moving livestock.”

“These kids live like a parallel reality”, said a representative of the Rural Society in statements to Radio Cnn. And he added: “If I say that the agricultural production of several high-producing provinces is going through what they are going through, It’s ridiculous to come and want to collect“.

In this sense, he asked leaders to have “common sense in the face of a crisis”.

“In the face of crises, important measures must be taken and one of the important measures is not to put a greater tax burden on producers that we are unable to pay for it,” he launched.

Pino hoped mayors, governors and councilors “realize they are unable to pay these strange increases that some officials are proposing.”
