The relationship with the government is one of dialogue, but we clearly don’t have the answers the manufacturing sector needs. It’s a sterile dialogue because it does not lead to any specification of tools not even in the circumstantial,” he explained Charles Achetonipresident of the FAA, in dialogue with clarion.

At the request of the producers, the Argentine Agricultural Federation will hold a protest on the side of the Buenos Aires-Rosario highway, at the intersection with Route 90, to expose the situation of the sector before “lack of answers“.

“He The dialogue has not been broken nor will we break it with anyone. What we need are measurements and answers which depend on the circumstance of what the manufacturer is going through. The situation is extremely complex both in regional economies and in the humid pampas with drought, frost and hail”, stressed Achetoni.

In this context, he indicated that the protest “had been abuzz in the assemblies, where the producers’ despair and malaise”, which is why this protest was generated. “We are facing a complex situation and We do not see that anyone is giving clues or certain ideas about what we will do with our situation,” he warned.

“The country is in a very deep crisis and there is no guarantee that the change of government or its continuity will solve the serious problems,” warned Achetoni.

The decision to return to travel, taken a few days ago during an FAA assembly, seeks answers to the dissatisfaction of producers “not having a solution in terms of exchange parity, withholdings, lack of multi-risk insurance”.

“These are situations that need to be reversed and the idea is to challenge the government, of course, but also the entire political class,” stressed Achetoni.

In a series of criticisms directed at the National Executive, the head of the FAA highlighted: “This The government has increased withholding taxes and spawned several regulatory instruments that were in loss of production and the situation has worsened”.

They delved into the exchange rate and we have a duality that cannot be supported. Have more than 100% gap, produce in dollars and sell in pesos. We must seek a unification of exchange. The official dollar is something fictitious that is even behind the inflation. Blue I think is the product of all the uncertainty that exists. What you have to do is sit down all the political sectors, you cannot think of an electoral race if the foundations are not laid for a country to be serious”, he underlined.

Regarding the industry demands, the rural leader said: “We demand public policy reformsA comprehensive tax reform where the revocation of withholding taxes is envisaged, see all distortive taxes that they won’t let us produce to have another chance in such a productive country”.

The situation of the sector has been worsening year by year with the lack of profitability. The producers claim that the policies have only been collected, by all governments, and this is unfortunately There was never any consideration of taking the choke off the court and letting it produce,” manifested.

Finally, Achetoni said that the Economy Minister, Sergio Massa, came to the government “in the midst of the crisis to manage the situation, to generate a little more certainty”.

“Maybe in the beginning Massa was the share of credibility for all sectors, but that was diluted. The measures taken were circumstantial and not for the improvement of the sector but for the benefit of the situation or the palliatives they needed, for example to enter foreign exchange with the soybean dollar and generated imbalances in the other sectors,” he said.
