2023 increases for domestic workers: how much they will take into account in April, May and June

As scheduled, after the meeting of the National Commission for work in private homes The first salary update of 2023 was finalized on Tuesday which will run for the five categories of domestic workers. How much will the raise be for each scale and when will they receive it.

Despite the deal reached on Tuesday, domestic workers are being paid monthly they will receive the 4% agreed for March in April which was formed from the last tranche of increase agreed in November 2022. This increase was for a total of 24% divided into four phases: 8% in December, 7 January, 5% February and 4% in March.

That same segment will have to wait until May to receive the 14% increase agreed for the fourth month of the year, which is part of the new 27% increase, the rest will come in May and June.

The adjustment took as a parameter the Minimum, Vital and Mobile Salary (SMVM) which will become $80,342 in April and that will rise to $87,987 in July.

The three increases will be applied to the last tranche of the joint agreement agreed in November, which envisaged a 4% increase for March. Therefore, with 14% set for the month of April, the hour and month worked must be paid as follows:

  • For the fifth categoryand the most requested locally, that of employees for general dutiesthe salary will remain $697.11 per hour and $85,584.90 per month, with withdrawal. And $751.83 per hour and $95,170.05 per month, for those who are not retired.
  • For the fourth categorythe one of assistance and care of people: $751.83 per hour and $95,170.05 per month with pickup. And $841.32 per hour and $106,057.05 per month with no withdrawals.
  • For those framed in the third categorythe one of homemade: $751.83 per hour and $95,170.05 per month.
  • For the second category, the staff for specific tasks; $796.29 per hour and $97,544.1 per month with pickup. And $873.24 per hour and $108,583.29 per month for non-retirers
  • For the first categorythe one of supervisors: $841.32 per hour and $104,992.86 per month for retired personnel; and $921.12 and $116,950.32 for those with no withdrawal.

Maid: how much they will earn in May 2023

  • Fifth category: salary will be $794.63 per hour and $90,840 per month, upon retirement. And $798 per hour and $101,013 per month, for non-retired staff.
  • For the fourth category, that of assisting and caring for people: $798 per hour and $101,013 per month with withdrawal. And $893 per hour and $112,569 per month with no withdrawals.
  • For those framed in the third categorythat of the owners: $798 per hour and $101,013 per month.
  • For the second category, that of personnel for specific tasks; $844 per hour and $103,533 per month with pickup. And $926 per hour and $115,250 per month for those with no pickup.
  • For the first category, that of supervisors: $892 per hour and $111,439 per month for retired personnel; and $977 and $124,131 for those with no pickup.

Domestic workers: how much they will earn in June 2023

  • fifth category, general duties $777 per hour and $95,345 per month in retirement. And $838 per hour and $106,023 per month, with no withdrawals.
  • fourth category: $837 per hour and $106,023 per month, with withdrawal. And $937 per hour and $118,151 per month, with no withdrawals.
  • third category: $837 per hour and $106,023 per month.
  • second category: $887 per hour and $108,668 per month, with withdrawal; and $973 per hour and $120,966 per month, with no withdrawals.
  • First category: $937 per hour and $116,966 per month, with pickup; $1,062 and $130,287, with no withdrawal.

In addition, an additional 30% will be applied to the minimum wage for each of the categories for personnel providing assignments in the provinces of La Pampa, Río Negro, Chubut, Neuquén, Santa Cruz, Tierra del Fuego and in the Buenos Aires district of Patagones.
