Last Thursday, ANSeS finally issued the guidelines for who and how to register to receive the $ 18,000 bonus announced on Monday of the same week by President Alberto Fernández and Economy Minister Martín Guzmán. In the first stage, interested parties must update and upload dataand in the second stage they will have the obligation to sign an affidavit and charge a CBU (single bank account) to collect benefit. These last two items are exclusive conditions.
Automatically, upon learning something new, many questions arose about the bank account and CBU: what it is, how it is acquired and how it differs from CVU (single virtual account), and which one works, one with B, one or both.
By the April 28 deadline, informal workers, social monotributists and categories A and B, and employees of private households, must update or enter quantitative data from first and last name, up to DNI and CUIL. For this, they will need to have or generate a Social Security Code that allows them to access the ANSES page and a CBU to collect the benefit.
Finally, in the second phase that begins April 28, applicants must upload another important piece of information: a personal bank account where they will collect the benefit to be divided into two installments of $ 9,000, and one yet is $ 9,000. – which they will only receive in June.
Registration will end on May 7, on the 5th registrants will know if they need to collect it or if they have missed out.. Beneficiaries will begin receiving benefits on the 19th of the same month.

The Uniform Bank Code, also called the Unique Bank Code or Unified Bank Code (CBU), is the code used by banks to identify their customers ’accounts. Y It is used to make or receive silver transfers and add automatic debit payments. Each CBU is unique and will not be repeated throughout the banking system.
The CBU consists of 22 digits, separated into two blocks. The first block (from digits 1 to 8) identifies the entity number (3 digits), the branch number (4 digits) and a check digit. The second block (from digits 9 to 22) has a 13-digit number that identifies the account within the entity and branch, along with the check digit.
What is CVU
The Uniform Virtual Key (CVU), on the other hand, is a code that also has the same purpose as before but instead of banks, it belongs to non-banking financial service platforms such as virtual wallets and prepaid cards.
That is the CVU is the key that identifies the non-bank virtual account. This is the DNI that each virtual account has, with characteristics that are unique and general.
The CVU also consists of 22 digits, separated into two blocks. The first block (from numbers 1 to 8) identifies the Payment Service Provider (PSP) to which it belongs. The second block (from digits 9 to 22) identifies the user.
What are they for
- Both the CVU and the CBU serve to uniquely identify accounts, whether virtual or bank.
- Make or receive silver transfers between accounts.
- Add payment for services or taxes to automatic debit.
CBU or CVU: whichever is used to collect $ 18,000 reinforcement
According to the organization led by Fernanda Raverta, only CBUs will be allowed to register. “It is very important that you know that in order to access Income Reinforcement, You must have a CBU in your name. Once all the steps have been completed, you will be able to complete the registration ”, ANSeS detailed on its website.
How to get a bank account and CBU for free
If the interested party does not have their own bank account, they must open one. All banks offer a “universal free account” option. Generally, they can be processed from each entity’s website and with a free account a debit card and some other benefits are also delivered.
The Provincial Bank of Buenos Aires, for example, also offers the possibility of opening a Account ID. To access it you need to download the app to your cell phone and follow the introductory steps.
