Consumers are thinking sustainably and companies are starting to register these new demands. KPMG conducted a study on trends in consumer behavior around the world and concluded that 50% of people say that sustainability is more important today than it was 12 months ago.
A study by Mercado Libre showed a 26% increase in the consumption of sustainable products in Argentina and Latin America during the pandemic. For their part, the companies Dentsu and Microsoft (2023) have found that the trend to purchase sustainable products continues to grow after the pandemic. These data are important for understanding the rcompanies and configuration every day.

Popular products include bicycles, thermo flasks, solar water heaters, menstrual cups, water filters, compost bins, solar panels and reusable coffee pods.
The firm SMS Buenos Aires and the Institute of Business and Public Governance (IGEP) have investigated the executives of several companies in the country about the decisions made during board meetings. There, the theme of sustainability most addressed in these meetings refers to work standards, the well-being and safety of employees. In the study, the environmental issue appears in third place, preceded by concern for data protection and information security.

– Jose Fonrouge. Global Director of Sustainability at Ternium, ECO Chairman at the Worldsteel Association and Vice President of the Environment Department at the Argentine Industrial Union. -Carla Sabbatini. He guided his he postgraduate studies and specializations in disciplines such as Economics of Natural and Energy Resources, Social Evaluation of Projects, Commerce and the Environment, Public Policy among others. Member of the Board of Directors of FUNDES Argentina, of the Board of Directors of the Local Network of the United Nations Global Compact and recently, he was designated “Concept Partner” in two Task Forces of Business 20 (B20).
-Rocio Mellas. Director of Content and Sustainability at Kompost. She is a journalist and trainer, a specialist in communication and triple impact strategies. Throughout her career, he has specialized in the environment and sustainability. You have worked in three companies certified as Body B and communication in this area has prompted you to join companies with purpose and triple impact. At Kompost, he led the certification as B Corp and managed to get the company one of the highest scores in the environmental category: last year Kompost was recognized as Best For The World and was chosen as one of the top 200 companies for the world by its positive impact on the environment.
