Fuel prices will rise 4% monthly from April 15th Until August 15th. That was agreed to by the Energy Secretary, the Commerce Secretary and the oil companies in a negotiation they reported Wednesday evening.

In this way, the price of YPF super gasoline in Buenos Aires (the cheapest fuel on the market) it will go from the current $169 to $198 in August. Due to the accumulation of one increase after another, the increase will reach almost 17%.

On the basis of the indications of the Minister of the Economy, Sergio Massa, the Secretariats of Energy and Commerce today renewed the Fair prices agreement with the oil sector to stabilize fuel prices for the next 4 months.

“This agreement, presented by the Secretary of Energy, Flavia Royón, and the Secretary of Commerce, Matías Tombolini, establishes a guideline of 4% per month in gasoline and diesel prices from April 15 to August 15,” informed the Secretary of Energy.

YPF, PAE, Raízen and Trafigura, the main companies in the sector, have signed this agreement.
