In March, the general level of the construction cost index in Greater Buenos Aires increased by 4.5% compared to the previous month, below the data on retail inflation, which was 7.7% for the same period . The monthly increase was the result of a 5.5% increase in the cost of materials, 3.5% in labor and 3.8% in overheads. According to official information, the labor chapter incorporates the new values ​​of the wage agreement of the Union of Construction Workers of the Argentine Republic (UOCRA), established in September last year.

To calculate the cost of construction in Argentina, the agency assumes that the masonry and reinforced concrete works are carried out by a construction company with its own personnel and are supervised by a first-rate foreman, while the labor is subcontracted. , fire, gas and electrical systems.

The cost values ​​take into account the manpower of the civil architectural works located in the region affected by the indicator: the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires and the 24 suburbs of Buenos Aires.

According to an analysis by consultancy firm ACM, “By deflating construction costs at official and alternative exchange rates, it can be seen that construction costs atThe official exchange rate increased by 8.8% while the CCL by only 1.8%.
