Jorge Ferraresi, mayor of Avellaneda, closed his speech to Edesur. He had arrived there on instructions from the Ministry of Economy and the Secretary of Energy. In a letter entitled “The certainty of duty done”, Ferraresi explains the reasons.
“When we hypothesized the administrative intervention of Edesur we were entrusted with the task of supervising and preparing a work plan in your concession area. Working with the mayors, the mayors and the ENRE, we did it in a month, ”she explained.
Ferraresi has announced a $7 billion construction plan for the winter. Nobody is big. There has been an announcement of a station in the city of Buenos Aires, but the funds allocated are not sufficient to start it.
“We have presented a diagnosis based on a land survey, its reports and the action plan so that our neighbors stop suffering from problems due to lack of investment. With the path traced, we believe that the performance as an auditor be satisfied,” states your letter.
The presentation of a work plan for next summer was expected. Close to Ferrara they say it is ready and will be announced shortly, but its characteristics are still unknown.
“The ENRE and the municipal heads will be in charge of monitoring compliance with this work plan. We are convinced that it will be a successful task,” he added.
The mayor of Avellaneda leaves in the hands of the Secretary of Energy and Enre (the regulatory body) compliance monitoring from Edesur of the promised works. “None of them are big. They are all patches”; He slips a mayor of the southern suburbs, with good relations with the Ferraresi, but skeptical of the possibility of “fundamental” changes in the functioning of Edesur.
“We appreciate the role that has been assigned to us. We will continue to work together with the community to solve the needs of each territory”.
Enel, the Italian company that owns Edesur, has posted a sales sign on that vending machine. Edesur had power outages in December, February and March, which caused hardship as they reached thousands of homes and in extensive terms.
