National tolls will increase by 50% in May and another 40% in August: how are the prices?

The tolls of the national road corridors will increase by 50% from Friday and another 40% from August, after the Ministry of Public Works approved the new values, which were published in the Official Gazette.

THE restructuring of the tariff regime it will be applied in the toll booths of sections I to X of the national road corridors; the North and West approaches to the City of Buenos Aires; and road corridor no. 18. The decision was taken after carrying out a public consultation, the purpose of which was to inform and receive opinions on the appropriateness of the tariff scales of the National lines under concession.

Rate update proposed by the concessionary companies It will be divided into two phases: 50% will be applied from May, while the remaining 40% will come into force from August.

The new tariffs must be rounded to multiples of $50and the first updates of the tariff regime will take place starting from This Friday May 12th.

Vialidad reported that the new scheme responds to the fact that the last tariff update was made in February 2022, for which he tried to “attend the price change entered in some main components of the enhancement, conservation and maintenance items and of the support services, in order to guarantee the level of provision of services to users”.

The new tariff tables were approved after an online citizen consultation was held from 5 April to 2 May inclusive in which information was provided and opinions and concerns were collected from participants.

How are the prices?

The new toll rates for the Northern Access, under concession to Autopistas del Sol, and the Western Access (Autopistas del Oeste) will be from $50 to $500 during off-peak hours e from $100 to $750 during peak hours, depending on the category.

So, starting in August, the off-peak hourly rate will range from $100 to $750, while during peak hours, category 1 will remain at $100 but category 7 will go up to $1,000.

Peak hours are Monday to Friday in both directions 7am to 11am and 4pm to 8pm. Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 11:00 to 15:00 uphill towards the Province and from 17:00 to 21:00 downhill towards the City.

Meanwhile, in national road corridors, prices will, depending on the category, $150 to $750 per tranche in May and will be worth between $200 and $1,000 from August.

The road corridor no. 18, which runs from Zárate to Paso de los Libres, under concession to Caminos del Uruguay, will cost between $250 and $1,000 at the Zárate toll starting in May and between $350 and $1,400 from August.

At the Colonia Elía, Yeruá and Piedritas tolls, it will cost between $150 and $600 in May, and between $200 and $800 in August. Finally, at the Rosario Bridge – Victoria toll in May, the fare will be between $100 and $ 750 and will go from $100 to $1,000 in August.
