On Thursday, April 28, the banks finally ended the strike they had announced since last week and due to failure in salary negotiations, according to the Banking Association announced.
Through an official statement, released on April 20, the union confirmed that “enough in advance, to anticipate and arrange everything related to the payment of pensionsas well as various social allowances to be paid on that day to banking entities, and we hold the employer’s chambers accountable for any kind of inconvenience in that matter.
AnseS took up the challenge on Tuesday and due to little progress so far in negotiations to unblock the dispute, it decided to advance the retirement and pension payments to be collected this Thursday to Wednesday.
The strike will prevent bank customers from making commercial transactions requiring attendance at institutions or telephone attention. However, there are no inconveniences expected to conduct procedures through Homebanking or through ATMs.
Regarding the latter, some La Bancaria branches in the interior of the country have warned not to recharge cash at terminals. So, what alternatives do users have to make money?
From banking entities, the first recommendation they made as to alleviate the need for physical tickets, is the use of a debit card as a method of payment. They also added that operations can be carried out normally through home-banking and cell phones (immediate transfers and payment of services daily, 24 hours a day).
But one of the alternatives to get money is to withdraw money from authorized businesses such as service stations and supermarkets.
Withdraw money instead
- Find the area where the option is enabled “Withdrawal of money”.
- When paying, you must inform the cashier of that remove the cash and specify the amount to be withdrawn. the limit of the withdrawal is $ 8,000.
- The cashier will provide the requested money and a ticket with two operations: the purchase detail and the receipt of withdrawal.
