Added to this are private projections which predict inflation of at least 9% in May, which implies a new increase in the cost of living compared to the previous month. The April data had already marked a resounding 8.4%, mainly driven by increases in food and beverages. Data for the month that is about to expire will be announced in two weeks.

It happens that in addition to the inflation of the “changuito” or basic consumption inherent in the food basket, the sixth month of the year will be characterized by increases in transport (subways, buses and AMBA trains)in private school fees, private medicine and fuel, among others.
