The Federal Administration of Public Revenue (AFIP) has been extended until February 5th the deadline for the reclassification of the monotax. Initially the deadline was Monday 22 January.
Resolution 5480 with extension of the deadline will be published on Monday 22 January in the Official Journal. The recategorization covers the period corresponding to the semester July-December 2023.
“The extension of the deadline responds to reasons of the tax administration, to the needs of taxpayers and to the requests made by the bodies representing economic science professionals”, specified the AFIP.
As established, taxpayers whose income has been higher or lower than the current category will need to be reclassified. To do this, they must access the monotributo.afip.gob.ar page with CUIT and tax code.
Single tax holders who maintain the same category do not need to take any action.
In turn, if less than 6 months have passed since registration in the monotax, the recategorization does not apply.
What is the procedure like?
To carry out the recategorization it is necessary to enter the Monotributo portal on the AFIP page with CUIT and tax key.
The second step is select the “recategorize me” option. and the system will automatically report the current category and limits of each parameter.
To select “continue the recategorization”. Then, enter information about the amount invoiced in the last 12 months. With this data the system determines the new corresponding category, which must be confirmed in the “confirm category” option.
In the last step the system allows you to print the new credential.
