President Javier Milei will hold a virtual meeting this Thursday with Larry Fink, CEO of BlackRock, the largest investment fund in the world. The zoom was announced in the context of the interest aroused in the financial world by the economic reforms launched by the government.
“I would like to inform you that at 12 pm President Javier Milei will meet virtually with Larry Fink. “The manager comes to ratify a long-term investment path, like other entrepreneurs who met the president,” said the presidential spokesman, Manuel Adorni, in his usual press conference.
The official was asked if BlackRock could participate in the privatizations planned by the government, to which he replied that “the meeting has not yet taken place, but there is the intention to invest in a logical and predictable Argentina”.
According to Adorni, the investment fund owns stakes in countless companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, Apple, Coca Cola, Twitter, Pepsico. Furthermore, it owns Argentine bonds and shares of companies such as Mercado Libre, Tenaris, Grupo Galicia, Banco Macro, Telecom, Pampa Energía, TGN, Arcos Dorados and Adecoagro.
Milei reported yesterday through his X account that he had a virtual dialogue with Sean Rad, founder of the famous social network Tinder, and that they will meet in Buenos Aires. In turn, the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, received Robert Citrone, head of Discovery Capital Management, last week.
