For the first time, Banco Galicia granted a loan using the cereals stored in the camp’s silobags as collateral, creating a specific credit line. Espartina SA used 19 silobolsa to obtain a loan of 600 thousand US dollars through a mandate from Pampa N&G, thus transforming fixed working capital into a real asset.
In this sense, producers and agricultural companies can now use cereals stored in silobags as collateral to access credit, along with other financial and protection benefits. The silobags are monitored with SiloReal technology,
“We are very excited about this innovative breakthrough we have achieved. We are making history because we are the first family-run farm to use our SiloReales as collateral,” says Marcelo Carrique, director of Espartina SA.
“In Galicia we try to constantly innovate and this includes connecting with new technologies that offer simple and agile solutions to the manufacturer. This is the first operation that has been carried out with these characteristics“, said Hernán Busch, director of Galicia’s agri-food sector.
