What age are first job candidates? 40.31% are between 18 and 21 years old; 30.40% are between 22 and 25 years old; 17.27% are in the age group between 26 and 29; and 12.02% are 30 years old or older.

There is a significant difference between men and women in terms of the relationship between study and job search. On one side, most men only have secondary school (51.8%), while among women looking for their first job the majority (40.1%) are graduates.

Lack of the most sought-after skills

Only 3.86% of people applying for their first job have a minimum knowledge of English and 3.36% have computer skills, two of the skills most sought after by employers. Therefore, those with these skills demand higher wages.

He expected average salary for the first job applicants it was $248,406 per month in January. However, this amount is less than the $276,615 salary required by new talent with IT skills, a wage gap of 18.73%.

The salary required by candidates for their first job is also higher if they have it English skills. The average salary requested by candidates who know this language was $249,350; with a wage gap of 6.46%.

On an annual level, the First Job index recorded an increase of 170.63%, significantly lower than the cumulative inflation index since January 2023, which reached 275.45%.
