The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Julián Domínguez, ruled on Friday that the Government is reviewing the increase in restrictions, as President Alberto Fernández said earlier.

“Before presenting the GanAr Plan in Córdoba, I talked to @alferdez, @JuanManzurOK and @gabicerru. Since I sat down, the President has been concerned about increasing food for Argentines. Either way will not increase retentions or send a bill“said the officer.

On Friday morning, Alberto Fernández said in radio statements that the “best way” to separate the local price of wheat from the international price “were restraints” and sought help from Congress.

“The instrument by which it is best decoupled is withholdings, but these are a legislative issue and I need Congress,” he told Radio Con Vos.

Fernandez’s statements provoked an immediate reaction of the opposition, who through networks warned that they would not approve any tax increase.
