The Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP) has extended the deadline for presentation of affidavits and the payment of Income, Personal Assets and Cedular tax balances, corresponding to the fiscal period 2021.

The extension -given in General Resolution No. 5192/2022, to be published this Friday in the Official Gazette- shifts the maturity of the obligations to the end of June with the goal of facilitating compliance activities, the tax agency reported today.

Postponement of the term would be possible for taxpayers and economic science professionals to have more time to prepare affidavits and make payments corresponding, AFIP explained.

The new deadlines for the presentation of Income taxes, Personal Assets and Identity Cards for the financial period 2021 are as follows: in CUITs ending in 0, 1, 2 and 3, the presentation date is on June 23; in the DNI that ended on 4, 5 and 6, on June 24; and those completed on June 7, 8 and 9, on June 27.

In all cases the payment date is the business day following the due date of the affidavitspecified AFIP.

According to official data, the number of workers paying Income Tax went from 740,000 in February to 850,000 in April, another 110,000 people (15%) in just two months. And it will reach 1.3 million by 2022.

The extension of AFIP comes amid the government’s internal bid to raise the minimum Income Tax floor. that I ask will be adjusted from July taking into account variations in wages and prices.

The current amount is $ 225,937 gross which dependent workers and retirees are taxed.

“The ceiling where Revenues are paid based on inflation and the evolution of wages will be updated, now we have a good portion of the parities closed, when we use projections we will update the tax using the same inflation and wages ”, they pointed out from the government to Clarion.

AFIP refund to monotributistas and self-employed

AFIP reported that it will return more than $ 1,345 million to monotributists and the self-employed who paid their obligations in 2021 in a timely manner using automatic debit or credit cards.

The compliance benefit, as detailed by the agency, reaches more than 649,000 small taxpayers nationwide: 557,000 monotax payers and 92,000 self-employed.

The refund is a portion of the tax portion paid throughout the year. It reaches all monotributists and self-employed who have paid their monthly dues in a timely manner.

The number of small taxpayers who will receive a refund this year is 62% higher than in 2021, they indicated from AFIP. The increase in the recipient amount of this refund corresponds to greater taxpayer compliance.

Beneficiaries will receive an amount equal to the monthly combined tax. Payment will be automatically credited to the bank accounts or credit cards attached as a form of payment for each subsequent taxpayer.
