Public fuel consumption was achieved in April the best brand of the last decadeaccording to a report released by the Ministry of Energy based on monthly sales data that Service Stations should contact that dependency as established by resolution 1104/04.

The survey specified that during the reference period the demand for gasoline and diesel in its two types reached 1,512,214 m3, a 12.67% above from the same month but from 2019, the year before the Covid pandemic. Compared to 2020, sales were higher by 137.6% and compared to 2021, they increased by 25.2%.

Following the trend of recent years, the products that have grown more in customer preference are the Premium type. In the case of gasoline, shipments rose 31%, while diesel shipments rose 27.9%.

Meanwhile, super naphtha improved its record by 6.78%, and diesel 5.6%, despite supply restrictions that began to be implemented that month due to price increases, as a result of the war in Ukraine.

When it comes to brand performance, YPF is widely dominant in the market with 51.63 market share; Shell followed with 23.45%, while Axion Energy completes the podium with 13.34%.
