The government made official this Thursday tariff segmentation and specified that 10% of the population will remain without subsidies, so they will have to pay the full rate.
The presidential spokesperson, Gabriela Cerruti, indicated that there will be a segmentation into three scales: one of these will be composed of the highest income groups, which are those who will not receive subsidies.
Another, from the most vulnerable sectors receiving social assistance; and the third is that which is not contemplated in either of the first two groups and which will pay increased rates.
The spokesperson pointed out at a conference that the low-income sector “pays the social rate, which implies that it cannot have an increase of more than 40% in the increase in the minimum wage, viable and mobile in the year.”
Meanwhile, in the case of the “intermediate” income bracket, he indicated that he will not be able to have “an increase of more than 80% of the increase in the wage coefficient”.
