In turn, the National Union of Transporters and Associated Companies of the Argentine Republic (Untra) routes blocked in Neuquén and Río Negroand from tomorrow they promise four national bodies generalize the protest and also take it to the city of Buenos Aires.
“We claim the end of the fuel trap, the updating of tariffs and the insertion of an activation clause so that tariffs are updated in proportion to fuel increases “, he summarized in dialogue with Clarione Santiago Carlucci, contact person for Transportistas Unidos de Argentina (TUDA), one of the bodies that promoted the measure together with Untra, Autoconvocados Unidos and the Single Union of Port Administration Workers (Sutap).
As they indicated, From tomorrow checkpoints will be made in different parts of the country. in which the passage of freight will not be allowed, except for the essential load. They also claim that the complaint will reach Greater Buenos Aires and the city of Buenos Aires.
“We cannot continue like this, with an increase in fuel that does not stop. Diesel is obtained at prices much higher than those at the pump, we paid more than 280 pesos per liter and our rates remained at the same values as before. a long time state financial support in order to overcome the crisis we are going through today following the incessant increase in fuel prices for a minimum period of twelve months, in compliance with the supply law“, said from Untra in a statement.
Meanwhile, complaints on the routes will continue in Tucumán. “We are not competitive or able to work because customers do not accept the new rates,” said Eduardo Reinoso, president of ATCT for that province.
Reinoso explained that Tucumán lacks diesel and when it is obtained it sells between 100 and 200 liters per truck at a price between 185 and 190 pesos. “If we want more liters, they are sold for 230 pesos. This situation affects activity and competitiveness, so we ask for a fuel price equal to that of the Federal Capital”, he assured him.
According to the “Map of diesel supply”, created by the technicians of the Argentine Federation of Commercial Entities of Freight Transport (FADEEAC), there are currently 21 provinces that have problems with access to fuel.
