The data correspond to a recent study conducted by Newzoo, a market research and analysis company for games and Esports. The company estimates that by the end of the year there will be 3,000 million people around the world interested in this segment. With this in mind, banks and digital wallets have started lending their support and presence in virtual games.

The latest announcement was Santander Bank, which has closed a multi-year agreement with the European Championship of League of Legends (LEC) and Latin American League (LLA).
