The tension between carriers and the national government is growing due to the lack of diesel. In the third consecutive day of cuts In various parts of the country, the measure is already making itself felt in ports, but it is spreading in various provinces where positions are tightening up.

The carriers grouped into Transportistas Unidos de Argentina (TUDA), the National Union of Transporters and Allied Workers of the Argentine Republic (Untra), Autoconvocados Unidos and the Union of Workers of the Port Administration (Sutap), are asking for a concrete solution and report surcharges up to 78%.

On Wednesday afternoon there was a failed meeting with the government because the Minister of Economy, Martín Guzmán, and the Secretary of Energy, Dario Martínez, were not present. With no solution in sight, the cuts continue in different parts of the country:

The cuts in Santa Fe and northern Buenos Aires

Only 686 trucks have entered the ports of the Gran Rosario, the world’s leading agro-export hub, when this season’s average is 3,500. The protest takes place in the midst of peak shipping season, with the harvest of soybeans and corn in its final stage and a year of record-worthy shipments.

The cuts in Cordoba

“There is a real anarchy with the lack of diesel. In addition to the shortage, there are carriers that pay up to 300 pesos per liter for it. Today the harvest is held in the fields due to the impossibility of moving it to the ports or stocks in because of the fuel shortage, “said Agustín Pizichinni, leader of the Argentine Agricultural Federation Agrovoz.

This Thursday a group of truck drivers decided to cut Route 9, at the height of the Córdoba city of Sinsacate. The Córdoba liaison table has decided to support the carriers in the protest measure, with the local presence of leaders and producers.

Following negotiations with Governor Osvaldo Jaldo, the ATCT has announced that it will make the protest more flexible so that the factories can resume the sugar harvest.

The carriers had blocked the passage on Route 302, in Cevil Pozo, on the eastern outskirts of the capital of Tucuma; also at the roundabout connecting with Strada 9; and in one of the entrances to the provincial capital.

In addition, there were blocks at the Los Gutiérrez roundabout, in the Cruz Alta department, and at the Los Ralos roundabout, where roads 303 and 321 intersect, in the east of the province.

On the other hand, there is a concentration of carriers at the Famaillá roundabout, at the intersection of roads 38 and 323, and at the intersection of roads 38 and 65, in the vicinity of the city of Concepción, south of the capital of Tucuman. .

The cuts in the Upper Valle del Río Negro and Neuquén

Upper Valley carriers have indicated that the cuts on Route 22 and Route 65 will be fully from 6pm to 8am tomorrow.

They called a total disruption of traffic at the Route 22 and Route 6 roundabouts; also on Provincial Road 65 and Félix Heredia; and on Route 22, near the town of Chichinales.

“Of the 10 or 15 self-organized carriers that initiated this claim, now we are more than 600 who have taken this decision together to tighten the measure. Our claim is against the Nation, but no one responds. If the province offers any alternative dialogue, we are open to this possibility “, said Gustavo Guidi, of the National Union of Carriers and Allied Workers of the Argentine Republic (Untra).

The cuts in Entre Ríos

“They are always the same lies, they promised us diesel in the first week of April for May, after May for June and now from June for July.
