The Government has promised that during this week it will have the form ready in relation to the removal of subsidies for electricity and gas tariffs. In that document, the families reached by the “segmentation” – Earns $ 350,000 per month they have three cars or three properties – they will have the option to apply to keep the state subsidy. But that role is not yet available and a series of confusions arose on Thursday, with meetings that should have happened and have not taken place..

On Wednesday, a WhatsApp message circulated among several officials. There it was indicated that Santiago López Osornio, Undersecretary for Strategic Planning at the Ministry of Energy, would be giving a speech on segmentation and its scope. The meeting was scheduled for 10:30 in the morning and to participate you had to participate in a virtual meeting.

Lopez Osornio learned of that message on Wednesday afternoon / night and said he hadn’t sent it. which was a “fake news”, and that there was no talk of it in the program. However, the heads of the public services of the provinces also had a letter in their possession (on the letterhead of the Ministry of Energy) inviting them to participate in that virtual meeting. It was also a “false letter”?

This is what they believed in Energy.

In her morning press conference, spokeswoman Gabriela Cerruti was asked about the meeting between López Osornio and provincial officials, which should have taken place. “There will be more details and there they will be able to follow them”, she tried to clarify Cerruti, who did not deny or confirm that meeting.

More than one provincial official wanted to connect to the “virtual” meeting, which did not exist. Appeals to López Osornio and the authorities of the Ministry of Energy have multiplied, with some confusion. In Energy they reiterated that there was no dialogue with provincial officials.

Meetings with social organizations were also attributed to the energy official, but there were no clues about it either.

Among provincial officials speculate that the The Ministry of Energy has not yet published the subsidy form, because the details need to be cleaned up.

A week ago, the Ministry of Energy announced the implementation of the subsidy segmentation. This implies that between 760,000 and 920,000 households will pay “the full cost of public electricity and natural gas services per grid contained in the bill, as appropriate”. This represents an increase in tickets for these services. The government estimates it at $ 1,500 (for a bill of $ 2,000 in light, for example), but private analysts and companies estimate that these are higher numbers.

Although the increase will be from July, the ballots will not immediately reflect it. It will take three months, it is assumed until September, for the Secretary of Energy to sort out the corresponding information and establish the register of customers who keep the grants. From there, they would be applied retroactively, in three batches. The government has announced that it will increase every two months.

All users -who enters the “segmentation”, but also those who are middle-class and low-income- must fill in the Government form, which is not yet ready. The middle and bottom sectors will not lose their subsidies this year, but will have to fill them out anyway to see if it matches them to continue to keep them over the next year.

“The DNU fare segmentation took place last Thursday. Implementation is underway. These days they will be able to enter. It will be a very simple procedure, ”proclaimed Cerruti, spokesman for the government, when asked on the form, which generates anxiety. “It will be a procedure through (the app) Mi Argentina,” he explained.
