The Ministry of Transport crystallized this Monday, with the publication in the Official Gazette, a new increase in subsidies paid to the provinces as part of the “Compensation fund for Public passenger transport from the urban and suburban car in the interior of the country “. As reported, in the next four months the Government will allocate a total of 16,050 million pesos for this purposealways with the aim of reaching 46 billion in 2022.
Resolution 401/2022, signed by the holder of this portfolio, Alexis Guerrera, established in its article 1 bis monthly amount up to 3,850 million pesos for the months of July, August and September, while in October the figure will rise to 4,500 million pesos.
As specified in the Article 2 of this regulation will be the National Directorate for the Management of Trust Funds, dependent on the Undersecretary for Economic and Financial Policies for Transport, of the Inter-jurisdictional Articulation Secretariat of the Ministry of Transport, the one in charge of “carrying out credit settlements”.
It also conferred on this Undersecretariat the power to “request from the beneficiary companies and / or the jurisdictions any further information it deems necessary for the purposes of an adequate processing of the data connected with the provisions of the article”.
The National Directorate for the Management of Trust Funds will carry out the “liquidations of credits”, according to Resolution 401/2022.
In the event that any province, voluntarily or involuntarily, does not adhere to this so-called “ADDENDUM II – TO THE AGREEMENT YEAR 2022” in the next 30 days, the Inter-jurisdictional Articulation Secretariat of the Ministry of Transport, or in some cases the Secretariat of Transport Management Transport of the same portfolio, can “sign said addendum directly with the Municipalities that request it, in compliance with the corresponding regulatory regimes”.
“In any case, the addenda must be approved by the highest competent authority for the municipal executive”, it was clarified.
At the same time, it was reported that “the receivables settled as a result of the application of article 2 of this resolution will be transferred to the beneficiary provincial and / or municipal jurisdiction, in order to transfer the funds directly to the service providers. provincial and municipal, unless otherwise requested by reliable means to the Province by the municipal jurisdiction “.
“The transfers must be made by the provincial and / or municipal jurisdiction within two working days, starting from the crediting of the funds to the accounts indicated in” APPENDIX II – AGREEMENT YEAR 2022 “, intended for companies that indicate the Ministry of Transport”, added the Resolution in his Article 3.
The latest increase in subsidies for internal transport

The Compensation Fund – which includes economic assistance for passenger transport – is an extraordinary accompaniment carried out by the national government to the provinces, which have the task of supporting the public transport system on the basis of what was signed in the tax pact signed in 2018.
