An Argentine company of just 60 employeeswith its own technological evolutions, it deals with carrying out the disembarkation of the company Free market in the personal insurance sector in Brazil.

Among other things, Mercado Libre in Brazil now offers automatic personal insurance contracting and claims settlement less than an hour. All these processes, as well as the relationship between Merado Libre and the insurance multinationals, managed by Klimberwhich is based in Palermo Chico.

The founder of Klimber is Giuliano Bersanoan Argentine who specializes in this business in the United States and Spain and returned to the country in 2017.

From their own app, they offer products to the public (it was the first “app” in the region that created a digital life insurance). They also offer personal accident, health, auto and assistance insurance.

But as Bersano explained, the most important part of his business today is provide “insurtech” services to other companies. And this is where the alliance with Mercado Libre was carved.

“Klimber acts as an infrastructure or ‘glue’ that connects what it is today the largest insurance ecosystem in Latin America, which ranges from Swiss Re and Prudential Seguros to Mercado Libre ”, explained Bersano. “Other activities are the management of all relationships with third-party care providers, services such as telemedicine or dental emergencies, which are also part of the policies.”

Of the 60 employees, 50 are based in the Buenos Aires offices, located next to the Malba museum. And another 10 are based in Brazil. After billing 175 million pesos in 2021, this year they expect to reach sales of 350 million dollars.

“Our goal is to achieve one million policies across the region over the next 12 months, both through this agreement with Mercado Libre and with other companies with different profiles ”, added Bersano. “What we are looking for is be the technological arm of these companies“.
