The measure, aimed at making the sector’s problems visible, was promoted by the liaison table and will include a cessation of marketing of agricultural products – cereals and properties – for 24 hours.

“It will be historic. The whole sector will tell what is happening to the countryside,” said Jorge Chemes, president of the Argentine Rural Confederations (CRA). “It is a cry of despair. The field does not give more. Not only because of the tax burden, but also because of the pressure that is felt due to the lack of policies. There is uncertainty and mistrustsaid the farmer.

In this regard, Chemes stressed that the sector is the sector that brings the most resources to the country. “It is not viewed by the government as it should be viewed, nor treated as it should be treated, and it is not aware of the harm that is being done,” she said.

For the rural leader, the government doesn’t care about production. “Not just agriculture, but everyone who produces. They see it as a source of resources to collect,” he said.

“There are a series of problems and needs that we have as a sector that we have been dragging on for years, but which are worsening with the crisis we are experiencing in the country, especially in recent times”, said the president of the Agriculture Federation. Carlos Achetoni.

Among the reasons for the day of protest are the lack and excessive price of diesel and fertilizers, the exchange gap, the tax burden on the sector, the lack of clear rules, policies that are harmful to agriculture, but also others that go beyond this. which is strictly agricultural, such as inflation, high levels of poverty and destitution, the deterioration of education and health and the defense of institutions.

Now the fear of the countryside has added to a fiscal revaluation, as announced on Monday by the new minister of economy, Silvina Batakis, in a series of measures to achieve fiscal balance.

“As a sector we are clear that we are part of the solution to the many problems that overwhelm Argentina and that we just need them to give us opportunities, not to keep adding obstacles, “added the rural leader.

This will be the first force measure launched by the liaison table this year. Agricultural leaders had initiated a series of meetings with various governors and lawmakers to seek solutions.

The Minister of Agriculture, Julián Domínguez, went to the intersection of the agricultural strike. “This is a moment of cooperation; confrontation paralyzes”.

The manager of the agricultural portfolio underlined that “the productive and agro-bioindustrial sectors today have a full horizon to continue to grow” and considered that “the mood of producers is not consistent with what the leaders of Table Link” .

The climate in the sector is different. ExpoAgro, Agroactiva and AgroNea exceed all the operations of the previous editions. This is not consistent with what some data reflect, “she continued.

At the same time, he highlighted that, in terms of agricultural machinery, in the first quarter of the year, sales of tractors increased by 26.5% on an annual basis, that of reapers by 43.5% and that of seeders by 19, 2 %. %.

“It is always the time for dialogue and even more so in the face of a global conflict. We are in the midst of a war, every day we see international specialists announcing famine for the world, with a crisis in global production and an increase in the price of factors of production. We are working side by side with national government manufacturers on the solutions they need to strengthen national capabilities, “she added.

problems with diesel

Despite continuing fuel shortages, the first decade of July brought relief to carriers and agricultural producers. According to the Diesel Supply Map drawn up weekly by the Argentine Federation of Commercial Freight Transport Entities (FADEEAC), in 23 Argentine districts there are still difficulties of varying degrees in the supply of fuel, in waiting times for cargo, as well as higher prices. and sales quotas. However, currently only the provinces of Entre Ríos and Buenos Aires appear in red, that is, in a very serious situation.

According to the Federation, in the last few days there has been a reduction in waiting times, an increase in the load quotas of diesel fuel and a decrease in the maximum prices per liter, which have given truck drivers who need between 35 and 40 liters on average for travel 100 km.
