Thus, “we have large oil groups that make profits, but not in France. We put them to work so that they lower their profitability and help us with the price of gasoline, but they (the profits) take them abroad”, he explained. .

The government had already called on companies to help mitigate the effects of inflation on households, and Economy Minister Bruno Le Maire asked them, for example, to “make proposals, and strong proposals, so that they can return part of their profits to the French”. directly”.
