Several deputies defend an increase in the maximum nominal value of the title of the restaurant. But Bercy declares himself rather in favor of raising the daily payment cap.

Increase in the ceiling or increase in the nominal value of the note? While the text on purchasing power and the finance reform project have entered the National Assembly, the deputies are preparing to discuss restaurant vouchers.

This would thus go from 11.38 euros to a maximum of 15 euros as of September 1. The businessman, he, would see the defiscalizable part go from 5.69 euros to 7.50 euros.

Another amendment by the LR group recommends for its part raising the aid by the employer to a maximum of 70% instead of the current 60%, in addition to increasing the maximum value of the title to 15 euros.

Issuers advocate an increase in security value

Only here, Bercy is not really in favor of an increase in the maximum value of the ticket. According to one of his relatives quoted by the parisianBruno Le Maire could, on the other hand, propose an increase in the maximum daily payment limit from 19 to 25 euros.

For their part, the issuers of restaurant vouchers that charge large commissions defend rather an increase in the nominal value of the ticket. According to the head of Edenred France, this measure “would mean a fiscal deficit of 200 million euros for the State but (…) VAT and Urssaf revenues would amount to 350 million euros.”

To support restaurateurs during the health crisis, the maximum daily limit for restaurant vouchers had already been raised to €38, before lowering to €19 on July 1.
