The number of unemployed (category A, without activity) fell 0.8% in France (excluding Mayotte) in the second quarter compared to the previous quarter, that is, 26,900 registered less, to 3,165 million, according to figures published this Wednesday by the Ministry of Manpower.
Over a year, the drop in category A is 15.1%. Including reduced activity (Pôle Emploi categories B and C), the number of job seekers fell by 1.7% in the second quarter (-8.9% in one year) and stood at 5,436 million, according to the Department of Statistics of the Ministry of Labor (Dares).
