Optimism and prudence, the point of view of entrepreneurs on change

Most businessmen have received changes in government with a mixture of caution and optimism. “The decision adds political solidity and coordination of economic instruments, which is positive,” according to Antonio Aracre, CEO of Syngenta. “The expectation is that there is the unification of the different economic areas and, having important political support, it generates a reversal of this situation of so much uncertainty ”, according to José Urtubey, director of Celulosa. “If he focuses on what the country needs, Sergio Massa can guide good management”, explains an important energy entrepreneur, who has an affinity with the former speaker of the Chamber.

“Massa has a team of people with knowledge and Experience in most areas, ”according to Daniel Rosato, president of Industriales Pymes Argentinos.

“We ask the government to do it take decisions that give certainty to economic actors and the opposition that, given the gravity of the situationdo not speculate on electoral benefits and do not give in to the temptation of revenge ”, declared the Christian Association of Business Executives (ACDE).

“Inflation is a harmful and perverse mechanism that we should eradicate forever because it damages the dignity of the person, destroys coexistence and promotes inequality ”, observes Acde. “When you start looking for culprits and threaten economic actors, mutual trust is lost. We must be aware that this cost will be paid by the society with the most poverty and marginalization ”, underline the Christian leaders.

“Massa has always manifested himself with a more business-friendly aspect. But it is in the middle of the ruling coalition, where Kirchnerism does not seem to share that gaze and that discourse ”, a mass consumer industrialist takes off, also asking not to be mentioned.

“The SME sector will be heard. We want to see which team will be to give continuity to industrial development “, says Rosato.

The various sectors awaited confirmation on the second lines. Food and supermarket suppliers have wondered who will be the Secretary of Commerce.
